Winter in SW Michigan

The winter might be soon over  and I did not post any winter photos from New Buffalo area yet. I did go outside with my camera this winter, just was not motivated to blog. The gloomy, grey winter days are not my favorite. I need sun, I operate on solar energy.
But I finally made myself to do it and maybe by posting winter photos, I will make winter go away.
The following photos are taken at Warren Dunes state park on a coldest day of this winter. Now I think, how crazy to expose myself and the camera to such a brutal temperatures. But we both survived and have some nice photos to show.

Love the cute little footprints, but have no idea what kind of small animal could make these. Looks like they were racing across the pristine white snow, enjoying the sunny day.

Light decorations are still on in New Buffalo, I like it. I wish I had a chance to photograph an engagement session this winter. The lights offer such an fun opportunity. But, there was no brave couple to be found, everybody seems to prefer spring and summer. I can not blame them.
